Hampton by Hilton signs two hotels in Poland


One of these newbuild Hampton by Hilton hotels will make its debut later this year in Bialystok, while the other is expected to open in Tarnowo Podgórne in 2023.

Two new properties are set to join the 13 existing Hampton by Hilton properties already hosting guests around Poland, it has been announced.

Louisville hotels hiring as city sees uptick in tourism


Louisville Tourism reported downtown hotel occupancy at 75% the weekend of March 6, which at the time was the highest since March 2020 before the shutdown.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nick Krivitz remembers the last time he worked at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

“We had one large function on March 13 of last year,” he said. “I’ll always remember it. They said everybody needs to stay after, even those that worked this morning, and they said, ‘So sorry, but we’re having to shut down. This is a bigger thing than we ever expected it to be.'”

Mandy and Jimmy Church leave Swan Inn for Princess Royal pub, Taunton


THE licensees of a village pub near Taunton have revealed they are leaving to take on another hostelry near the centre of the county town.

Mandy and Jimmy Church have pulled their last pints at the Swan, in Kingston St Mary.

They are now preparing to get behind the bar of the Princess Royal, in Canon Street, Taunton.

The couple had been at the Swan since October 2019, apart from a couple of weeks off in March last year due to Covid restrictions.

They returned to open up a shop at Easter before re-opening the pub in the summer.
