Complaints have emerged that Corporate Travel Management (CTM), the company hired by the government to book hotel quarantine for those coming from overseas from countries deemed to have high levels of Covid, have not sent booking emails and are unavailable on the phone, leaving students unable to board flights without confirmation of their £2,285 hotel quarantine accommodation.

Anyone coming from a country on the red list needs to quarantine in a hotel for ten days after arriving in Scotland.

Travel stocks decelerate as Covid fears grow but one stock may endure

Travel stocks have taken a hit this week as fears over the delta variant grow.

As of Thursday’s close, hotel stocks such as Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott and InterContinental were on track for weekly losses as steep as 4%, far wider than the 1% drop for the S&P 500. Those names were also under pressure after the latest data from travel metrics company STR showed hotel occupancy decline in August after rising in June and July.

Travelers could purchase a tour packages and depart at any time before the end of next year.

A representative of Hanoi-based CEO Travel said the company has been offering a voucher to stay at 5-star Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc Hotel with prices starting from VND499,000 ($21.71) a person, including a one night stay in a Deluxe Garden View room, free take-away breakfast, airport pick-up and drop-off and free entertainment services.

This price has decreased by more than 50 percent after the new wave reemerged in late April. The validity of the voucher extends until the end of 2022.

COVID vaccine vacation packages continue to attract tourists to Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The free distribution of COVID vaccines continued Monday at a temporary drive-through site at Tropical Park in Miami-Dade County amid the new surge in coronavirus infections by the fast-spreading Delta variant.

There was a long line of cars entering the park from Bird Road. Among the people waiting for their turn to get a shot of the vaccine were tourists from Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Colombia. The vaccine is not as accessible in some of these countries as it has been in the U.S.
