The first PGA Tour event after 9-11 was a surreal return to a changed world | Golf News and Tour Information

In the annals of professional golf, the short-lived Pennsylvania Classic was barely a blip on the radar, existing for only seven years with a series of title sponsors, held at several venues and largely won by a roster of passersby among the PGA Tour ranks. Except for one year—and we are not talking about the 2006 edition featuring Michelle Wie—the tournament was forgettable.

A less vocal, ‘Brooksy’-less crowd greets Bryson DeChambeau on Day 1 at East Lake | Golf News and Tour Information

ATLANTA — The PGA Tour didn’t post any videos of Bryson DeChambeau on Thursday, but the Golf Channel did, and commenters raced to make the same joke.

“Good shot, Brooksy.”

“Nice swing, Brooksy.”

Even the fans who have seen DeChambeau’s face in person, at PGA Tour events,

The storm that arrived on Sunday forced the postponement of the final 18 holes at Liberty National in Jersey City, N.J., until Monday. But more rain is expected to fall Monday on a saturated course that received 9 inches of rain since Saturday

Visitors to Stamford could find tourist information at St John’s Church

Tourism looks set to receive a boost in Stamford thanks to the initiative of a town guide.

Jill Collinge, a Blue Badge tour guide for more than 25 years, sprang into action following the “worrying closure” of the town’s tourist information centre, based at Stamford Arts Centre in St Mary’s Street.

Under plans to streamline services and renovate the arts centre, tourist information services are being merged into the role of box office staff, who will also pick up some of the work of the South Kesteven District Council advisors who worked in the now-closed office in Maiden Lane.
