Billy Horschel won the European Tour’s BMW Championship at Wentworth.

Billy Horschel felt aggrieved this week at the manner in which he missed out on a place in the U.S. team for the Ryder Cup.

Horschel birdied Wentworth’s storied 18th hole after an approach shot that spun back to inside 2 feet, securing a closing 7-under 65 and a one-shot victory at the BMW PGA Championship on Sunday.

Former Eastern Michigan University men’s golfer Michael Blair (Ancaster, Ontario, Canada-Nelson-Pfeiffer) notched a birdie on the first playoff hole to win the Mackenzie Tour/PGA TOUR Canada’s Prince Edward Island Open. Blair fired rounds of 69, 66, 73, and 71 for a nine-under 279 to force a playoff with Maxwell Sear at Dundarave Golf Course.

Blair regained the lead on 18, but Sear came up big under pressure with a delicate chip to five feet and a putt to force the playoff.

Portuguese all-rounder Joao Almeida of Deceuninck-Quick Step won the Tour of Poland on Sunday as the seventh stage was clinched by EF Education-Nippo’s Julius Van den Berg from an escape.

Scottsville’s Blankenship wins Bluegrass Tour event at Rolling Hills | Community Sports


Scottsville’s Rafe Blankenship fired a 1-over par 73 to claim a two-stroke victory in the boys’ 15-18 division during a Bluegrass Golf Tour Junior Series event Wednesday at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville.

Bowling Green’s Max Bewley took runner-up honors with a 75, followed by Russellville’s Elijah Forbes (76), Rockfield’s Braydon Bond (77) and Bowling Green’s Dalton Hogan (84).

Scottsville’s Peyton Cline (86), Auburn’s Braden Engler (88), Woodburn’s Tanner Robinson (95), Glasgow’s Branson Bartley (98) and Rockfield’s Josh Kelley (99) also competed in the event.

Kevin Hall wins APGA Tour event at TPC Deere Run


Kevin Hall made golf look easy on Tuesday.

The Ohio State grad – winner of the individual title at the 2004 Big Ten Championship – shot a bogey-free, 8-under 63 to finish at 6 under and earn the win at the APGA Tour Deere Run at the TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. It’s Hall’s first APGA Tour win since 2018 at the APGA Tour Chicago.

Lucas Glover Wins His First PGA Tour Event Since His Wife Was Arrested for Attacking Him and His Mother and Calling Him a ‘Loser’ After a Bad Round


Back in 2018, Lucas Glover’s wife thought he was a loser. Three years later, he’s a PGA Tour champion once again.

Glover triumphed at this past weekend’s John Deere Classic by two strokes for his first win since 2011. It was also the first time Glover found the winner’s circle on Tour since his wife, Krista, was arrested and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest after attacking him and his mother following a bad golf round.
